I don't hear a lot about this forum anymore. I never cared about it anyways.
 
I think TAZ is a fine place, just when you are no going into conflict with how they manage the site.

Meaning you are not going to get into any sort of trouble right away when you come to learn not share something of yourself, a site.
 
Taz is not a friendly place for webmasters in my opinion, a friendly warning not to advertise my forum would have been enough. I would of still been active there and contributed to the forum without advertising my site, but they took the worst approach possible and just straight up banned me and gave no explanation. I have tried to contact them and they are just blatantly ignoring me.
 
I got banned there once to, "hell banned" is the right term I think.

Every time I visited the site I go a blank page.

For advertising, sharing a site there that was a promotion board.

But I managed to get back on somehow.
 
TAZ's admins post some really irrelevant posts, almost as if they were instructed to do so =/.
 
Its pretty bad, i have been a member since 2005 and out of nowhere i got banned without a warning or anything :/
 
i co owned a "rival" forum of theirs, they sent the co owner a pm saying that we were not allowed to advertise, we had under 50 posts. ridiculous, having said that, i do like the members and im friends with some of the staff. I do prefer it here though, more of a "family" feel 🙂

I would have loved to have had a warning but sadly i didn't get one 🙁

yeah that is kind of out of order that they didnt give a warning :/

I didn't either. Most likely profx was a friend so thats why.

I didn't either. Most likely profx was a friend so thats why.

no, since thwn i have become friends wth s few mods (not admins). it was probably ecause my site reviewed forums and software, so it wasnt directly a rival, but enough to get a warning
 
I'm a member of TAZ, but I don't go there anymore. That's way too big of an admin forum for my liking, and I prefer it here way better anyway. That was an interesting forum, but a forum that huge is not for me.
 
i wonder what they think of FP, maybe i'll make a topic asking. (or will i get banned for that ? lol)

You'll probably get banned for that as Forum Promotion IS a competitor site. Which is really stupid and greedy as Fowler said.
