Wow, sounds like a bad rip-off of the first one.

Wait...they're already rebooting the series?

But...why?
Yeah, that got announced a way back. Basically from what I understand. Reimi and Meguire weren't going to be involved or something in part 4. So they decided to just go back to the beginning. And frankly, we DON'T need another origin film. I'm fairly certain EVERYBODY and their grand parents knows his origins. Much like Superman's. And at least with this reboot. They are starting it off with Gwen first. Since she was there first in the Comics. While Mary did show up sometime later.

The guy from Social Network will play as Spider man. Can't wait to see the trailer at least.

Man I'm excited! But its such a long wait! I'm happy the guy from The Social Network is doing it though.

Oh that SUCKS! I loved Tobey McGuire as Spider Man! He was the perfect fit...I don't see who else will be as perfect a match to that part as he is. Damn!

I honestly felt that Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst played their roles to perfection whenever the series began however, I do believe that it's time for a rebooting due to the fact that really they tied everything up nicely in the third movie and really, I want to see them learn from their mistakes and make something different.

My negative thoughts about rebooting the series aside -- the trailer does look pretty sweet. It's got a much darker tone, and the action they show reminds me of the 90's cartoon series.

I'm going to have trouble believing Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker though.
