The motion is: That the assassination of evil dictators is justified.
Against.
Perception is quite important. To them, you are certainly the evil person/group/cause. There appears to be something 'in the air' which human beings know that a sense of civility and peace be the 'thing' which human beings endear. But this is a matter of perception. Unless we understand the dictatorship from the perspective of those experiencing such ideologies, we cannot have a fully informed idea of the exact nature of the evil. It's such a democratic, liberal view to assume that the dictatorship is evil. If it were truly evil, surely another coup d'etat would rise to the occasion. Surely the civil human trait dominate the unjust evils of the dictatorship.
Throughout history, dictators have required the loyal support of their subordinates and ultimately the public at one point. The public play a large role in determining how that dictator has come to power, whether it start from a coup or an election, the public did have a say at one point. Even if the public didn't ask for a coup or an election, their combined mentality to accept the new leader, or their combined 'blindness' towards that leader, is what determines the course of action which that future dictator can direct their views/ideology.
The motion can be taken from the "evil" side as well. Should they assassinate democratic leaders? For them, democratic leaders are evil, for them, democratic leaders appear to control society, so why should this motion not also apply for them? All who agree with the motion must consider if assassinating a democratic leader is justified in the view of those who advocate "evil".
And because we don't fully understand the nature of the "evil", we can't act upon our self-mindedness and determine that assassination be the best course of action. If we were to act upon our civil and peaceful human traits, concepts such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights should dominate our thought process and straightaway think of Article 3:
Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person; Article 5:
No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment; and Article 11:
(1) Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law in a public trial at which he has had all the guarantees necessary for his defence. Unless we turn our backs against these fundamental and inalienable human rights, assassination should not be the course of action which ends such perceived evilness.
