My name is Gavin the owner and creator of the AutismNetwork, I started this site as a resource for people to communicate & find useful information. My intention for this site is to see it grow into a helpful & informative resource for everything related to Autism. I hope to build a better understanding for people who don't know what it is, a better resource for people who deal with Autism to find similar opinions, life situations, facts and information.
I'm a full time care worker for Autistic people and work for a company called Spectrum, Who in my opinion have the best approach to looking after people with an ASD.
I also have a step son Joshua Who was diagnosed with Autism & ADHD when he was 3, he is now 8 and a lovely boy and generally very happy although this is not always the case!
This is what inspired me to start my own website & forum as many i have been on before have been full of parents moaning and complaining about the system and there children.
This is not what i want for my website & forum i intend it to be a positive supportive & useful resource.
So there is a bit about me and the site.
