Best free PHP script for what exactly?

You can't really put your finger on one that's "the best" at something, because each one is made for its own reason. For example you could have a "best PHP forum script" or "best PHP contact form". Unless there's a common ground (aside from the fact they're written in PHP)...it's impossible to choose "the best".
 
I agree with MhW there is no best anything.

It is all a personal opinion.

That's what I thought when I read the topic too. There are *good* php scripts, say the entire scripting for phpBB3, but there is no "best" script.
