The logo on The Surge looks like it was made in the 1990s :/ Same for the promotional image in your signature. This isn't the type of graphical design that people like nowadays.

Our site logo was rushed so I will admit it's not very good quality but I don't really understand how it looks like the 90's. Nor do I understand where the promotional image comment is coming from.

I feel like almost all of us would agree that it doesn't entice anyone to click it to check out your site. The choice of font is yucky, the text is difficult to read, the lines aren't clean.

Your logo with the emboss and that thick drop shadow and that color scheme just doesn't look good. I feel like your site would look better without any logo. This is the type of graphic work that sites had over a decade ago. This is what logos looked like before the web 2.0 movement.

I think that if you switched to a modern logo and modern advertising banner people would be much more likely to like your site. I'm just trying to give some constructive feedback and say that this small change could have a huge impact! 😀

Also, I'd recommend removing "Register" and "Log in" links from your sidebar, there's absolutely no reason to show those to a visitor.

Your forum looks fantastic aside from that logo! If you were to take the color palette from the forum and apply it to your logo that would look awesome.
