It's all over the news and all over my Facebook feeds...and I mean ALL OVER. I think it's given all my friends who have been to Europe that opportunity to post their vacation pics again showing everyone that they visited the place.

I don't seem to be feeling the sadness that everyone else is displaying but then again I'm dealing with a mother who has stage 4 bladder cancer so my sadness is consumed by that right now.

Are you affected emotionally by what happened?

This is the inside from the fire.

It's very disturbing and upsetting that people feel destroying ancient relics from history will further their point or help have their voice heard. In my opinion, all it does is mask what they're fighting for and sways public opinion from their favor.

They’re linking it to the renovations that have been going on from what it looks like.

15 hours of burning time, 3rd of the roof gone, they able to save most but not the glass. And they are going to cost allot of money to repair this 850 years old building. Been on the news all day long.

At the time they has been workers and works being on going at the time it was on fire.

Pretty convenient that the 12 statues of the Apostles were taken of the roof 4 days ago huh. This that make you go HMmmmmmmmmmmmm

I don't know how i feel about this.
I mean it's terrible a piece of the city history has gone up in flames. The building can be repaired but i feel as though the age of building was part of the history of the building and with a lot of it ruined, they can fix it but it won't be the same. So i guess im sad to see a part of both city and church history burn up. I do hope this was an accident and not someone misguided idea to prove something.

It reminds me of the museum which went up in flames in Brazil destroying mummies and dinosaur bones. Just what is wrong with the world these days.

Not sure how i feel about this either. Over a billion dollars raised for the building but with no deaths. Grenfell tower 92 people died yet only 18 million was rasied for them. With only 2 million reaching the families.

It is sad hearing about this burn down. Sad that some other important accidents didn't get this much money to help out.

For a structure that old, I wonder how many such fire it managed to take over the years. It looks strong. If this were to be modern architecture it'd have turned into dust by now.

Thank God people weren't hurt. The buildings can always be replaced, but lives can't be!

I hope those who were incompetent in the construction/renovation will be investigated.
