Looks very basic. Was that the goal? I don't like the actual mascot you're using. Overall, it's a very dated logo.

Make the text bigger than the image, the text is the focal point and needs to bring attention to the banner. Maybe have the image to the corner of the text or not at all? Work with some designs with just the text as the image isnt actually promoting anything and its not even relevant to the site!
