Well, some of it has moved into "country" - but country purists are annoyed it's called country. But a lot of the new "country rock" isn't that bad. Anyway, since Country Rock has moved into country, it's seemingly died.
As for soul, I don't hear it in music, outside of country, anymore. Of course, Country Rock has a lot of soul - due to the southern USA (where I'm from) influence.
