The Enigma Community has been my personal project for a while to build a unique technology-centered forum, separated from the rest. I saw a lot of tech forums out there that were huge and unfriendly, full of spam, bad language, contained NSFW content, and were quite slow sites to boot.

Well, we're here to change all that with EC. We've been around for over 10 months now, running IPB with an attractive theme and an interesting community.

Join today and start discussing, receiving help, and participating in a wonderfully unique community!

Feedback is appreciated (if allowed in this section), and new members are always welcomed warmly.

Wow, this is a really great tech forum. Nice community, good look and feel, and a customized mybb makes me smile. Only thing I'd suggest is a better logo.

You have to promote this thing like crazy mate! 😀

P.S. post a lot around the forum, do exchanges, and make a banner to put in your sig. And welcome to FP!

Thanks, I'm glad to hear some positive feedback 🙂

Yes, we definitely need to work on our logo, right now all it is is some CSS-styled text up there 😉 I need to hammer Photoshop to do my bidding really soon!

I plan to promote it more now that we have a decent theme, I was a little ashamed of the unmodified one I pulled from the mods site a while ago, and recently edited it to fit my vision for it 😎

I'll be making a banner and definitely will be posting here quite a lot from the looks of it.

I wonder how an active promoter missed this site. I never thought of telling you about it. It a great promotion site with good community. You are in tight place mate.

Also, I did some research and it seems like Google is penalizing sites that are doing link exchange. Not sure what kind of links but its worth doing some research.

But can you tell me how did you remove the icons for new , locked and put only
different icons?

Well, the mentions of it on some other forums I'm on mentioned unsuccessful attempts to promote their site, and a large community where it would take quite a while to become a part of. I see now that they were mostly wrong.
On top of that, I didn't have a decent theme until a week ago, I finally sat down and edited it. That was the main issue for a while.

This will remove the normal icons for "New Posts" and etc and will replace with forum icons chosen by you ?

Also, I've added support for other ways of registering, so now you can register or log in with Facebook and Twitter in 2-3 clicks! 😀

A lot has happened in the past month. We've moved from MyBB to IP.Board, changed the domain to http://enigmacommunity.org, changed the name to The Enigma Community, added some new sections, and more! I hope to see some of you there 🙂 We love getting new members.
 
The new sections we've added include a place to showcase your forum and more. We also have some more contests coming up, right now we're offering Google+ invites as the prize when we reach 7000 posts, which we're really close to achieving.

Recent changes include:
-Changed host from HostGator to HawkHost, site is now pretty darn fast 😀
-Bought a new theme for the forum.
-Added a blogging system, get yours today!
-Added a few more sections and assigned icons to all of them.
