Your Quick Review
Pros
+ I think your logo looks nice. It's professional and attractive, but it is a bit basic. Adding some kind of icon to it certainly wouldn't hurt, but that is just a personal recommendation from me. Good job on the logo though.
+ I really like the icons you have for each board relating to what the board is about. That is something I have been seeing done less and less on forums these days, but I am still a supporter of it. It makes the forum seem creative. Good work.
+ I like your forum's header. The stripes look nice. The gloss effect looks cool. The theme designer did a good job making the header appealing. You did a good job selecting the theme though.
+ I like that the search box has extremely easy access. I don't really feel it needs to be on the header though. There appears to be room on the menu and the navigation bar, you could consider moving it there.
+ You and your fellow administrator seem to be working in putting the pieces together in creating a forum. Just keep at it, and your forum will be reading. Everything is coming together though, just keeps things balanced and promote heavily, and we'll see the results.
Cons
- Your forum appears to have two staff members. I don't really know for sure as I can not view "The team" page as a guest. Both of the staff members are administrators. I don't recommend starting a forum with two leaders right off the bat, but you should at least have some variation in your staff team. You don't want all the staff members to have the same staff position, so a moderator would be a nice addition to your staff team.
- Your forum needs a favicon. All I see is the default paper favicon, which isn't appealing. You need to get your forum a favicon with "TFT" or "FT" on it. You could also settle for just an icon from an icon resource website, as long as the icon has something to do with your forum's genre, technology.
- I feel your forum needs some staff rank images. They are always a plus, in my personal opinion. They can also be used as an incentive of being a staff member on your forum. With the amount of premade forum rank sets available around the web these days, I feel there is no accuse for not having staff rank images either, unless you just don't want them.
- I feel the forum description being in text on the forum header is unappealing. The forum title is an image (the logo), so the slogan/description should be as well. I just don't feel it matches the logo with it just being text.
- I feel there should be a couple more staff positions. On the user legend, there is only two staff positions. I feel you should at least add a "Moderator" staff position and you could consider adding a staff position like "Promoter," as promoting is a pretty big deal with your forum just starting off.
Final/General Thoughts
I feel your forum can succeed, but it will be a certain struggle, as your forum's genre is abundantly seen these days. You'll have to work to see success. It's literally make or break time for your forum, what you do with your forum now could very well decide its future. Good luck.
