https://theforumwheel.com now not under the care of Ken Brace but some new person. Anyway, Postloop, the other one had totally failed under a 2nd owner. What are predictions for this scenario?

I have a stern warning for you: Harley Quinn destroys websites, don't get excited.

I'm unfamiliar with this individual. What run-ins have you had?
The first time I saw Harley Quinn is when he/she bought a large Call of Duty Forum. He/she contracted someone out to import a large Black Ops 2 Forum that @Ascent sold, and that contractor screwed up the database by re-importing the database all over again (yes, into the same database, so the owner ends up with a lot of duplicate content). Once that was done, they plastered ads all over the place, making members leave. Moved the site to a new domain. Did not put the proper redirects, did not do all the right things. To exacerbate the issue; he/she launched a blog, changing URL's all over again, and plastering ads on that, too. Like, damn. Slow down with the changes.

They then moved the site to a new database, new domain.

I've seen similar methods on her/his other sites. Like I said, it's okay to buy sites, but don't do too much at once.

TheForumWheel is both a business idea, and a new business model for the owner. I think what he/she wants to do is two things: Make money faster, and push a network of users into all of his/her sites. Thing is, from what I've seen, not many users are going to his/her sites - because each time he/she buys a forum, he/she removes the "who's online" box, and "forum statistics" so you literally have no idea whether that forum is active or not. It's either you post there or you don't. And when you do post there, it'll be a long time before an answer arrives, even from Harley Quinn.

On top of that, all of the sites are independent of each other, you have no idea who owns the site.

Thank you, @Carlos X for some explanation. I will watch and see the outcomes in the coming weeks on TFW.

I wasn't a terribly large fan of The Forum Wheel, to begin with. I tried them out for a little bit but always had the same users coming to post on my site and I didn't really care for the content I was paying for. While I don't care for the site I do hope the best for it.

I have pretty much good experience with the KenBrace. He paid all the dues on time. And also lot of forums in the network were good. But I'd say that the way they were running it's meant to die at some point.

I agree here. TFW always seemed "dead". So much potential in that posting script, but no real effort was being done.

I had respect for Ken Brace for the time I participated there, but from my understanding he got into other business ideas and life events and that made it really hard for him to keep an eye on TFW, he added a mod to help but they had limited power so when bugs popped up it was a halt.

By the last days, the directory had forums that weren't even proper for a writer to post on (redirects, abandoned), and because of the low quality writers and most of the actual good sites had set their rating to 5, there was not enough active writers that met the criteria and not enough active sites that allowed aspiring writers to join and prove themselves to improve their own score.

I was excited for the new owner, but if it is the same person Carlos X is describing, then there's probably not much future for it. The site definitely didn't seem like a cash cow for Ken, who often used money from his own pocket to make sure payments were on time, and they will have to realize that soon, if they haven't already.

This is their announcement.
This is the original CallofDuty-Forum.com site moved to BattleRoyaleForums.com
This is another one of their sites - Borderlands3Forum.com

There was an RPG forum they bought, but I'm forgetting which, basically... apart from Borderlands3Forum, they all look ugly. Not everyone wants a blog front and center, when they land on a forum domain, they'd rather have a FORUM. I understand why they have a blog, but why not just buy a gaming site with a blog as a front-end, and a forum as a backend... while the rest of the niche forums act as its own site - separate from... Ugh. Whatever. I digress.

It seems like they don't understand how users perceive them.
