Last season Liverpool did very very bad for the expectations they had. Do you think this season they will be able to get back to how good they where two seasons ago?

I short...no. They didnt bring in any extra quality.

Liverpool are on a slippery slope, they are like United... skint, ...but even more so, losing against United wasa very bad result for them, not only did in push them down to 16th in the Prem, but it also confirmed to any investors that not only do they need to invest in the club, Stanley Park, they also need to invest heavily in the team, it would seem that any money received from transfers has gone striaight to paying of debts.

The latest news is Hicks want to buy out Gillette, or is it the other way round, either way it's bad news for Liverpool if he succeeds, he like Glazer has no idea of how to run a football club, so I can see the banks taking over on October 6th, and after that who knows.

As much as I hate Liverpool the team, and even though I will laugh my head off if they do a pompey and get relegated, it will still be sad day to see sucha once successful club sink to the championship with little hope of returning.....................he lied

Hodgson needs some time. I doubt they'll get in the top 6 this year; next season should be better, though.

They wil be lucky to get inside the top ten the way they are playing.

The top 10 is definitely possible. Liverpool are playing at their worst at the moment, which means things can get better. Once Hodgson manages to assert himself, we should see something better from Liverpool. Still, that doesn't mean they'll be performing as well as they should - 6th or 7th is easily possible for them.

Look, we may be in the bottom 3, but 1-0 tomorrow, and we're top 10!

I know it's only October.....but you have to laugh, after three seasons of "It's our year" they have totally failed to win anything, and now face being in the bottom three, and it's a long time since they've been that low.

I wont be surprised if they do pull clear, and I wont be surprised if they are in the bottom three come May, probably the FA will give them special dispensation to stay up, like the FA have said they wont be deducted nine points if the banks take over the club on Oct 6th, which in effect means they will be going into administration, which for Portsmouth incurred a 9 point penalty, one rule for Pompey, one rule for the scousers.

I think LFC will get relegated this Year.
I am a Manchester United fan so thank god for that.

Really? I didn't know that. Sounds a bit... Wrong...

Ashley, I don't think Liverpool will go down this season, I think they are able to finish 10th - Hodgson needs to pull the team together. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they make a Newcastle-esque fall from glory.

I personally think that if they go into administration this early then there will be plenty of time to pull themselves clear before the end of the season, I'm not a Liverpool fan but to see them relegated would be the sporting shock of the century 🙁

I heard they've had another bid of £230 million for the club.

Due to all the court cases, and not focusing enough on the actual team, there not going to be near the top four this year.

Any of you guys know what the Curse of the Bambino is? Cause if you do, maybe John Henry and them might really end up making Liverpool a really good team, but give them a few years.
