Description: The Hazey is a brand new general discussion forum for adults only, those who know me know how popular The Hazey domain name was back when it was more of a webmaster/promotion site and due to the name already having a reputation I decided to create something new, below is a list of features/concepts on the new site that only went online last night:

• Registration only open to over 16's.
• A custom built theme with loads of cool features such as moving clouds.
• User mention built in and extra profile link options plus over cool features.
• A laid back atmosphere without draconian rules.
• No advertising allowed on the site at all.
• No fake accounts, no posts done via exchanges or posting packages.
• No hidden forums, what you see is what is get.
• It is mainly a British forum with British English used on the site but anyone over 16 is welcomed to join in that can write fluent English.

I also like how theres not a border its just the topic boxes floating there in the middle!

Why no advertising allowed at all?

As it's spamming in my view, a discussion forum is there to share views not to advertise your own site/project, last thing I want to see on a discussion forum is people advertising. It makes me actually question why people feel the only way to attract members is to allow them to advertise their own site. I have seen countless forums in all kinds of niches have an advertising section and it's a massive turn off.

To be honest, if people join great but I will be equally happy if I have 6 members for the next year, so long as those who are members are enjoying it, then that for me is all what matters, if you look the stats don't show or the index page as I am not interested in how many post per day it gets etc.

I know from experience if you become stat obsessed then it stops being fun, I have 5 other sites to maintain that require me to worry about stats etc so this is a nice chilled out place for like minded adults to come and relax.

Well, it is a nice surprise. But for me, the theme is too weird and uncomfortable so I really don't want to sign up, even if I wanted to.

Great call on the no advertising or post exchanges. While I am not sure whether I will do post exchanges or not, I have considered not doing it, but yeah no advertising on my site at all. It makes communities feel more real with those two rules as you know people are there because they want to be.

Also:
To be honest it didn't really sound like he was talking smack when he said that it was a big surprise. A surprise is a surprise, I in fact like surprises as it adds new variables to the situations which we are involved with. While master could have approached the domain name comment differently, you should listen to his comment anyways.

But I don't want to backseat moderate, I'm just observing.

The description says you have to be over sixteen. I was thinking the same thing until I noticed the "over" part. Although, the actual registration page just says at least sixteen.
