Additional Notes: Hi.
Thank you for taking the time and effort to review my forum. A few points of note for the reviewer.
Besides the one for mobile devices, I am using two forum styles, both of which are "fixed." I understand that there are several people who prefer "fluid," and I am considering making "fluid" versions available. Also, a background image was recently added to the first style the guest sees: Enlighten. Before that background, I was using a plain dark blue shade, which may be seen in the screen shot shown here. In any case, a member and me complained about the background image being somewhat distracting, so a solution yet to be implemented was proposed by Saint, my fellow administrator who designed the image:
"My plan is to replace to white with a light blue (too much white I think will clash with the brown enlighten layout), reduce the opacity of the rings, and see how it turns out. Since I also have to adjust for low resolutions, I may also remove the "I" logo, so it doesnt look ridiculous when that overlaps."
Another accessibility issue that has come to my attention is the text size of the Enlighten style, which is one px smaller than preferred by at least two or three members. My considerations are as follows: I may either increase the px from 8 to 9, or I may add a text sizer that keeps a members' setting after a page load.
Also, the left and right edges of the banner area were originally rounded, but were made squared. The problem was that the edges didn't match the background colors, but they couldn't be removed due to a most curious problem that ignored the edits. Fortunately, a designer from eXtremepixels, the company that designed the style, says he will help me out with this, a gesture I'm most grateful for.
Anyways, I don't say this to stop you from criticizing these aspects of my forum's design in your review; rather, I only hope that the above details may help give an insight as to what's going through my mind in terms of improving forum functionality and accessibility.
