First Impressions

My first impressions of The Magnus Harbinger were rather bland. You are currently using the ZetaBoards default theme and logo. As a first time viewer, this isn't very impressive. It looks like you haven't really made very many changes from the ZetaBoards default settings. You need to make some changes from the default settings to add some originality to your forum. ZetaBoards has a very vast resource library that includes many different free themes that you can place on your forum. If you add something as simple as a free theme, you up the originality that your forum possess.
Another thing that I noticed was that it isn't obvious what, exactly your forum is about. I could figure out that your forum was a writing forum, though it took my longer that it should've to figure this out. To fix this you should implement a welcome message. This message should be short, but inform your visitors what your site is about. Something like "Welcome to The Magnus Harbinger! We are a community of determined writers. If you would ever like to have critique on your writing, help with your writing, or just some general writing discussion, The Magnus Harbinger is the place for you! Membership is fast, easy and most importantly, free. We would love to have you on the forums!" would make a much quicker and informative first impression on your viewers.

As I said above, you need to add more originality to your forum. If you place a free theme (not the default) on your forum, it will significantly increase your originality and help impress your viewers with design. Something else you could do to help impress viewers with your design is add a custom logo. You can buy logos from individuals on the Forum Promotion Marketplace relatively inexpensively. Even if you can't buy a logo from the Marketplace section, it would be very easy to buy a logo with FP $ in the Forum Cash Exchange Board. Adding a custom logo would not only increase your originality, it would also add a brand of professionalism to your forum. People will remember a good, custom logo.

Right now, you do not have very many posts. You currently only have only ten posts. You need to try to get more activity on your forum. People come to forums to engage in conversation with other people. Try doing some post exchanges with members on FP. Doing something like a 10/10 post exchange will help give your forum some starter content for potential new members to reply to.

The Magnus Harbinger hasn't even been open a week. If you can get a new theme, a new logo and increase activity, there is no reason why your forum cannot be successful. You've just started on this project, so you have a few easy things to fix right now. Good luck!
