Description: "The MST and Parody Paradise" forum was created three years ago mainly to host MSTs and Parodies from Lord of the Rings, which were being banned on all popular fanfiction sites. Being a lover of the genre, I created this forum where any form of parody or MST* is allowed. We target mainly dreadful Mary Sue stories, with the aim to amuse, not to offend or hurt. There is also room for normal fanfiction, original fiction and poetry to be posted.
Above all, we are a site focussed on writing (in any shape or form), but our forum also offers many possibilities to engage in roleplaying, which became very popular last year. Even if you cannot or do not want to write and don't care for roleplaying, there is still a place for you at the paradise. Discuss your favourite band, the meaning of life or how nice your vacation was in our off-topic boards, and you may find people with similar interests and make new friends! Friendly chat between members is what we aim and live for!
Despite our relatively small userbase, we have ranked up more than 130.000 posts over the course of three years. Yet, for various reasons, the number of active members dwindled down the past year, and we now seek to increase our numbers with more active people who are looking for a good time. To increase our appeal, the forum recently received its very own new and unique look. Even if you are not a fan of the genre or parodies, you are still welcome to join our off-topic talks or roleplays! We don't bite!

*MST: For those who are unfamiliar with the term, MSTs are a genre of parody, in which a group of people is (usually) captured by an evil mastermind who makes them read bad stories of any kind. The story then follows the group as they sit through the nasty work, delivering sharp or funny commentary as they read. This is based on the tv show Mystery Science Theater 3000, which debuted the concept. Only in the show, the material being parodied consisted of movies (usually b-grade), not (fan)fiction.
