Have you been watching the news about the choosing of the next Roman Catholic Pope? Who do you think it will be?

I have seen people being interviewed trying to guess what the focus of the next pope should be, and I wonder why they aren't saying the obvious which is Jesus the Christ and forgiveness of sins won at the cross.

Well, a new pope has been elected, and is an American (and going with the title of Pope Leo XIV)

An American-born Cardinal has been elected the next pope, taking the reins of the Roman Catholic Church after the death of Pope Francis last month.

I was watching the news today when I seen they had selected the new pope. It will be interesting to see how every develops an opinion on him over time.

I was baptized Catholic but I don't follow the religion. I think it's interesting the new Pope is the first American born pope.

A few of my Catholic friends/family were offended by the Trump memes and video about being Pope...I think they have lost their sense of humor and most likely laughed when Father Guido Sarducci (SNL) had his skit:

I've not read of any controversies linked to the end of the world but there are other well documented controversies linked to this man getting very little traction in the press.
