Why dont you just build a shit comp with 2-4gb ram and a semi good processor. Put linux on it and make your own server. Safer and more reliable. Plus, you can warez it up as long as your not caught by the police.

Because my upload speed is less than 56kb/s, and thus the server wouldn't be able to handle any traffic at all -.-

Least this way I know i'll be good in every meaning.
 
How are you gonna afford that, though? A job will help, but not that much. Unless you have a large support group.

$1,200 yearly isn't all that much really, little under $100 a month. A job would cover it easy, plus by the time we need to use that sort of hosting hopefully we'll be making enough off ads to support using it (traffic wise).

It's working great actually, I won $15 in a referral contest which I added with my other points and i've requested a $20.75 Go Daddy eGift Card. It should only be a few days (usually 3) before I get the email with my code 😛
