I know some people who gargle water with salt. It is supposed to help with sore throats, it has worked for me a couple times. It doesn't taste too good though. 😛

Yuk. People tell me that honey and lemon juice works but that is super nasty.

I don't really call it salt water, seeing as it is really mixed usually and there is too much salt. That's how my Mom has always done it anyways.
