I wouldn't go for it. I don't think forum hosting is worth paying for.

I beg to differ. I pay for hosting it is a heck of a lot better than where i was before. Also, i don't really like zetaboards or any other free forum host.

Well I host multiple websites with one host, so really I find it a good buy. I'm currently hosting two websites and going on three with this hosting. It's a steal! 😛

Well, technically, when you use a free forum host, you aren't even "having" the forum. The forum isn't yours. So, if you register a Zetaboards forum, Zetaboards owns it, not you.

Hosting is definitely worth the money alone, even if you're forced to use a free software like phpBB. I've been on advanced hosting for over a year now and I don't regret it at all. In fact, I prefer advanced hosting over free hosting because you can make your forum look anyway you want, and you don't have to listen to crap talk such as, "while I think your suggestion for <insert mod or theme idea here> we will not be adding it as it will not benefit all the forums hosted with us". Trust me, when I was on prophpBB, back when they only offered free hosting, I can't even begin to tell you how many times I heard that line. And that basically goes for all free hosts. If they don't like your idea regarding a mod or theme installation, I wouldn't be holding my breath as far as seeing to it that it gets implemented. Also, on advanced hosting, you can add or remove things as you see fit, and you don't have to worry about your idea affecting 100 + forums on any given server. So really, advanced hosting of any kind is definitely worth saving up for, that's for sure.

Thanks Ashley. I like the look of both of them, but i going to go and test the two out to see whch one is easier to use.

You are most welcome, Wolfy. It's fine to ask for opinions as for what software we think you should go for, but in actuality, it all boils down to your own experiences in the end. So really, by playing around with the two and finding out how things work and what functions do what to which thing, you'll be able to see for yourself just which one is the better option.

Yes, but that doesn't really matter. I couldn't care less if ZetaBoards has the rights to my forum because it doesn't make a difference of how it is programmed, besides it working in multiple different ways. However, this gives you the advantage to customize your own forum host.
