Wow, I joined this designing forum, and I posted a link to my two portfolios, (with all my past work on them, so they could see all of it) a staff member removed the two links and told me that I can only advertise in my signature and the advertisement area. How is posting two links to my portfolios to show them my past work advertising?

You should report that to an Admin, mainly due to the fact that you were displaying your previous work on a designing forum, not advertising.

It was actually the administrator who did that. He also went back and changed the rules saying that the no advertising except in your signature and the advertising board applies to personal websites as well.

Yeah, but why can't you display your portfolio website? I still don't get why he would remove that link, as long as the purpose was solely to display your portfolio, and not "Advertise" it.
