The oldest person ever to have lived (whose age could be authenticated), a French woman named Jeanne Louise Calment, was 122 years old when she died in 1997.
Wow, can you imagine living that long, do you know anyone or have family that lived a good long life even close to this age?

My mother-in-law is still going strong at 95.

The oldest one from my mother's side lived to be 92, she passed away last fall other than her most of them hit mid 70's.

Damn, though I rather live forever, I think at that age I hate to be alive.

My maternal great-grandmother died a decade ago at the age of 101 1/2. My mom always described her as being spunky. She was short but could still whip your butt lol
I too think of how life was like for her. Living through all those wars, seeing advancements in technology. Unbelievable!

Yep several members of my family lived into there 100's all are gone now.

Living to be that old isn't always a badge of honor. Take dementia for example. If I ever lose my mind and have to wear diapers and a catheter and be that old. Dead would be better.

Some that have lived over 100 have never had health issues, it's hard to believe.
I'm sure this generation won't be able to say the same.

Just think that she would be the last person to live to that age, I Mean nowadays people can't even live to their 90s nd with our gen of people living till 70s if lucky. Hearing people dying not even half of their age.
