There is a lot of resentment of well-to-do kids with trust funds. Some mock them for living hippie lifestyles that they can afford, because their rich. Anyway, is this South Park-ish stereotype true and if so, to what degree? 😀 Do you feel like the real world of suffering or even just one summer at Marines Corps boot camp would change them?

Think most people will focus on the financial aspect of your post which makes a lot of sense given we're in a finance based sub but I personally see a lot of similarities with your emotional side although of course with some differences.

We're all hypocrites to some degree. 😊

No. A lot of them turn to drugs and blow their money down the drain and become homeless. There's nothing like hitting rock bottom when it comes to growing up.

Richard Nixon made a comment that was perceived as being "I don't know the word here." about them. He said they needed a trip to his dad's woodshed, something like that. Of course, though, why should people get whippings - simply cause they don't share his culturally right-wing views? Why would we assume everyone with empathy is some naïve punk?
