Re: A List Of Advertising/Promotion Forums

Fowler is undoubtedly very busy, so I have updated this thread. Shole Company doesn't seem to qualify, though, and Admin Access doesn't seem to be working.

Re: A List Of Advertising/Promotion Forums

Cheers mate. I can see how Fowler is busy. I get busy just running 84 members

Re: A List Of Advertising/Promotion Forums

Quick question for those in the know how many of theses sites have over 50,000 posts and been around at least 6 months, as they are the only ones most should be interested in.

Re: A List Of Advertising/Promotion Forums

I say this many times. All promotion forums should have the right of having members. They have the growth too. 😉 Just because they have not been around for less does not mean they are the ones people should use more.

Re: A List Of Advertising/Promotion Forums

People prefer to spend their time wisely. Alot of promotion forums are set up and forgotten about or closed down soon after. People prefer to focus on ones that are more active and/or been around longer as they have the potential of hitting a larger number of people and/or having their advert visible for a long time.

As a forum owner you should expect to have to work harder to encourage users to join your forum when your forum is in it's baby stages. Time is precious and people don't like wasting it. Size and the length of a sites existence plays a part in users decisions if they should spend time signing up.

In a way you are correct but a forum has to earn the right to have members, having members is not a right, a member will only join if they feel the forum has something to offer them. I won't join a site unless I feel it will either benefit my site (if a promotion type forum) or is a site I would enjoy posting on. With new forums you run the risk of putting in a lot of hours just for the administrator to pull the plug. I am interested in your site due to what you offer but I don't know your track record when it comes to running forums so won't join till it has been going a good while or I have gotten to know you and feel like you are dedicated to your project.

Well said, it is how I look at it with regards to theses type of forums, why join a small one that only has a handful of members when you can join one of the more established ones and get everything the small one offers and more due to the size of the site. For me to join a forum it has to offer something unique. I only join sites I intend to be active on and I can tell you it's not many. Don't get me wrong there are some nice looking new sites around that have potential but only time will tell.

I understand. But whenever you wish to join it will be available. I have no interest in letting go off this project and the reason why I created FC is to maintain a place that stays up no matter what. I too am sick of the forums that open and close repeatably.

Re: A List Of Advertising/Promotion Forums

I've added the new promotion forums to the list. 🙂
