I'd like to hear some positive things about Windows 11. My husband is pushing me to get on board.

Windows 11 looks nicer aesthetically, but I’m not sure that’s a big enough reason to upgrade. A lot of the new features haven’t made a difference to me.

Windows 11 doesn't look enticing to me at all. I don't really like Windows 10, and I've been bouncing back and forth between Windows and Linux for years. I'm probably end up going to Linux full time in the near future.

Windows has not really changed that much in years and most of the more recently added functionality is either pretty basic (smart phone app) or irritating (print screen/screen capture). In general Apple do most things better in terms of the UI.

That said if you are a Windows user I'd suggest it's probably not unreasonable to upgrade to the latest version if for no other reason than to keep your system secure and compatible with other software.

That's what everyone says, but every time I've ever tried to use an Apple computer, I've been completely clueless. It certainly doesn't seem intuitive to me.

I think it's fair to say if you are used to a Windows environment the Apple UI can seem counter-intuitive... the single button mouse, action buttons in the wrong place, no obvious file structure etc. I bought my first modern iMac not that long ago and couldn't for the life of me work out how to scroll 😵

I also found Linux easier to navigate than Mac OS. Maybe it's just personal preference.

Honestly, I found the exact same thing for years and years. When I took my most recent job - Mac was the standard issue laptop. Over the past few months, I’ve actually learned how to use it super well, and I can’t lie, I actually enjoy it a lot more than modern Windows. A lot of that is how Mac’s OS integrates with my laptop, phone, watch, and desktop - but I really have no issues with how the software is setup or any of the features. I just had to stick with it for about a month to get used to it.

Everything is so much cons more so then pros

I've been using Windows 11 Pro for a few months now and apart from a few really annoying things like the way it handles screen captures, the abysmal smart phone app and the horribly defined icons, it's little or no different to Windows 10. The way it deals with multiple windows is probably a plus if you don't have multiple displays but overall it seems like a cash grab to me.

I enjoy it; for me, it does what I need it to do. I hate the pre-installed apps and such. But overall, I find it does the job

WIndows 12 here soon, just not even going to think about it

A day or two ago I was watching what I thought was a Windows 12 installation and demo. It was light years ahead of anything I'd seen Microsoft produce before. Unfortunately it turned out to be someone's concept video 🙁

The only thing wrong with it is the musak so turn your sound down but Microsoft could learn a lot from this video.

I can't think of windows 12 being any different from this. The color scheme and the transition animations are on point. Wish Microsoft would take this video as an inspiration or even buy this concept from you.
