It's here, for those on steam you can decrypt the files and start playing now!

This game is getting slammed in reviews. I was interested when I first heard about Brink oh so long ago, but that interest was short lived, and after watching gameplay footage I am not impressed in the slightest.

Yet another FPS to not buy.

Getting slammed by JoyStiq and GiantBomb, which hurts it for me a lot more than if it were some sht site like IGN or destructoid. Still VGchartz gave it a 8.2, might still pick it up.

edit: and holy crap EuroGamer gave it a 8/10, they're pretty harsh usually so that's good. Just means it's not really a mainstream game.

It's good, confusing at first but great once you get to know it. It doesn't benefit players who camp or run aorund just getting kills. It benefits the players going for the objectives.

Good to hear, most reviews are 7-8 range which is fine. 1UP doesn't count anymore so the only 2 bad reviews I really see is from GiantBomb & Joystiq lol.

It has it's downsides just like every game but it's to early to tell if its the game or the servers

Both sites that I trust far more than any others, like you mentioned. GiantBomb is always my first stop, and after reading both the review and watching their quick look my decision was finalized. Watching the gameplay is what really did it in for me...it looked incredibly stale and a bit sloppy at times.

yeah personally haven't read the review. I usually trust what jeff says, he's not a sell out (which is why giant bomb exists in the first place). Still I'll probably wait for a low price point just to try, never interested me that much.

edit: IGN is winrar

Haha IGN gets paid to give reviews, if they odn't get paid they give the game a bad score. It's also a big popularity contest.

Somehow I doubt Ubisoft paid for reviews for one of their toddlercon shovelware games 😛. I think that just speaks of the kind of gamers IGN employees are.

Brink's campaign was terrible. I stopped playing it after the 4th hour.

Yup everyone's saying it's just playing multiplayer with terrible bots. I think I'll wait till under $20 for this one, if only to support Bethesda.

You guys are bashing a game because it's unique, wow.

And btw, BRINK has some of the best AI I have seen in my life

Unique? Enemy Territory has been out for a pretty long time now. The giantbomb quickloook showed me all I needed to see of the AI.

It's not that I don't like it because of the type of game it is, it just seems the execution is only fair and that the content is lacking for a $60 title.

After watching some gameplay videos and reading not-so-great reviews, I'll pass on this one.
