These were great movies and I was lucky enough to see them in 1997 (2oth year anniversary) at the theater. They were meant to be in the theater, not on TV - unless maybe you have a really good home theater system.

Oh, I watched Star Wars on television with my Sony home theater system attached to a 65 inches screen.

I could get into StarWars to a degree, but not Lord of the Rings and stuff like that - even though I admire the filmmaking.

I couldn't get into the Star Wars trilogy it was just ridicules to me I know people will hate me for this but it was just awful for me to watch I mean it wasn't in order for a start.

Possibly it seems too kiddish for some people.

I wouldn't call Star Wars a trilogy anymore lol. There is eight of those movies now.

I just saw the new star wars film The Last Jedi but I wont spoil the movie by discussing it to anyone if they have not seen it yet I love star wars films 🙂

From what I remember, Princess Leia was the cute young woman played by Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford was the dashing hero. That was the first Star Wars and I never got the chance to see the next episodes because my mind couldn't grasp the too far future setting. I know that Star Wars was a very popular movie with several sequels but I'm after my own entertainment and not after the popularity of the movie.

The originals were great but were certainly best watched in the cinema. I feel the latest films lost the serious tone of both the series and the niche with too much humour in the films, kind of spoilt it 🙁

The only Star Wars that I've gotten to see in theaters was Revenge of the Sith, Force Awakens, Rogue One, and now The Last Jedi.

It's a shame I missed the originals because they're my absolute favorite.

need to catch up watching the last movie

They certainly created a timeless movie. I'm sure it will still be popular 1000 years from now.

I have a varied collection of Star Wars. I have items like CD's, shirts various toys like Lego Star Wars, sword, figurines, and even drinking cups. I have a keychain, cap, and even a Falcon ship toy for molding clay.

Well, I never get bored watching all the series in Sky. I can watch even a million times. My most fave series is the one that was technically released 1st. I'll never go wrong on that.

I like the old ones better than the new ones - though I won't deny the new ones aren't well made.

I completely agree. The humor, especially in this last film, was just a little much. It didn't really feel like Star Wars. I do like these newer ones better than the prequels though. But the original trilogy will always be the best in my opinion.

The old Star Wars had some humor. That's why they had Harrison Ford in it. 😉

They're good sci-fi movies, particularly the original trilogy. The prequel trilogy was pretty meh, and this sequel trilogy is getting better with improved visuals of course. They're classics.

Haha, of course. They definitely had their funny moments (especially with Chewie and Han). I just felt like they weren't so reliant on the humor. It just seemed more effortless.

Yeah, lack of humor kills these new movies whether Star Wars or the new Total Recall. But some movies like The Hunger Games can get away without it.

The last star wars had in abit of humor, i felt like it was directed towards kids
