The tallest living man is 37-year-old Sultan Kosen, from Turkey, who is 8 feet, 2.8 inches, who set the record in 2009. His growth is also due to a pituitary issue.
Do you have any friends that are taller than the average person?

I know a few people that I had worked with that are 6.4/6.6, it's a real struggle for them even get in and out of a car or truck.

I know one driver years ago we had to modify the seat for him, he was one of our best drivers so the company had no problem spending a few bucks having this done for him.

read about this guy before. He won't even fit in my room

I don't know of anybody personally who is taller than average. I had a friend in High School who was something like 6'4" & he struggled a lot.
I remember hearing about Robert Wadlow who was 8'11". He died at the young age of 22 due to complications with his height.
I feel for any who are exceptionally tall like that as they have a variety of health problems.

There was this guy who used to attend my old church, he had a health disorder and thus was very tall - 7'1". He was TALL, but he could still do normal activities and he played the organ during mass so, he could still function in that regard.

I am 6'5"—maybe 6'6"—and can't imagine being any taller so I feel for these guys. 😱

The most challenging obstacles for me are height differences in dating, having long conversations standing, and low hanging ceiling fans. ;D It hasn't always helped my neck pain being a programmer for most of my life, but doing more physical labor over the years has been a blessing for the overall achiness of sitting for too long.

I would think getting into a car or even a truck can be a pain for you?

It hasn't been an issue for me because I work on my flexibility, which is important for anybody but especially tall people worried about back pain. It's funny because there is always a good chance I get offered the front seat when somebody else drives because they feel bad about "squishing" my long legs in the backseat! On that topic, I do make sure to upgrade to more leg room on flights because that is the one place I do get truly uncomfortable.

Overall being tall has been a blessing and a source for a lot of comedic interactions and opportunities to be helpful to others (grandmas love me at the grocery store) and I'm glad for it. I can't speak for the 7 footers but it's really not so bad!
