Number Of Members: (7 out of 10)
You have 45 registered members. You've been open since January 2008. That's not really an impressive number, but you have to start some place. I suggest doing some of the following to get your member count up.
- Using promotional services here at FP
- Submitting your site to search engines
- Getting a domain
- Joining as many promotion sites as you can to get your site out there
Number Of Active Members: (4 out of 10)
You have 10 active members (with 10 posts or more). Considering you only have 45 registered members, that's not an impressive number. You might want to consider some of the following to get your members to come back and post a lot.
- Posting competitions for your members to participate in
- Keep your forum flowing with new information about your topic
- Maybe change the skin or host to something people feel more comfortable with
Number Of Posts (Spam or Otherwise): (8 out of 10)
You have a total of 1,150 posts. That isn't really that bad, but I have seen forums with only about 27 registered members that was open for a week get 1,200 posts. Again it's not bad, but keep your forum interesting and keep those members wanting to come back!
Appearance (First Impressions):(17 out of 20)
The first thing I notice when I clicked your link was that your banner is a different color than the blue used on your forum and a different size too! You can always change that by requesting a graphic here at FP with the size you want and the colors you want. Other then that I think your theme fits your subject.
Layout: (19 out of 20)
I think the layout of your forum is very creative and well thought out. I like the names you've given to your forums and descriptions. Probably the best thing on the forum, nice work!
Moderation: (3 out of 10)
You have way too many moderators! You have 5 mods and 2 admins, which makes your total staff 7 people out of 10 active members! One of your moderators doesn't even have 1 post yet. I would demote some people and only keep about 2 or 3. You don't need that many at all.
Activity:(7 out of 10)
Again you only have 10 active members so you need to keep a steady flow of new information your users will be interested in! You have something in every section which is a good thing.
Spelling and Grammar(5 out of 10)
I see a lot of grammar mistakes more then actual spelling. Like no capitals, bad punctuation, etc. You might want to work on that so that members know the mods/admins are serious.
Overall Mark: (70 Out Of 100)
Not bad. It seems you know a great deal about Tech stuff and you have a very well set-up on your forum. Best of luck and hope it turns out great!
