The Truth About Forum Advertising

And honestly, with your belief's tech4talk, if I shoot someone is it OK for them to shoot me back?

Ofcourse, but turn it around and you wouldn't be able to shoot back, you'll know what I mean 😉

If someone shot me, I wouldnt shoot them back, I would call the Police 😛

So if you know so much, why did you sign up here? You have also promoted your forum here. Look at your signature, full of advertising on a "forum promoting forum". Do you consider that as being a hypocrite? You have asked for posting packages, and you still lash out at promoting forums.

So, when was your forum created? Doesn't seem to have that many posts. I have seen some since August, so thats around 3 months. Only 400 posts. So what have you done to boost activity? Apart from asking from FP, have you "advertised" or have you "optimized"?

To get your forum noticed on Google, you will need to consider backlinks, and yet you say backlinks are bad :/ From what I have gathered, this is just a stunt to get this page onto Google and then get your site mentioned. Is this your way of advertising?

You have made some valid points, although some points people will take offense. We have the right to disagree, and so do you, but not be disrespectful and still try and hold a belief that you are right.

Backlinks DO work to get you higher up there on google. But it takes a LOT of work over a long period of time. The links have to be authentic. {Not just a link farm.} Also, I will post maybe 200 ads around and perhaps get 1 new member from those ads. The fact is that members and activity isn't going to come from any one thing in a big way. It comes from many small things. Kind of a big picture way of seeing it. I do ads, affiliations, and promotion through signature ads and word of mouth as well as video contests and links on other places like plugboards and fanfiction.net. It all ads up eventually and yes it does eventually have an effect on your google rank. But the progress does not happen overnight.

tech4talk i see your using a nulled Vbulletin lmao , shall i report you? 😛

People DONT come to forum promotion forums, to find new forums.
Most people don't come for that reason but quite often people do stick around and do view and join other peoples forums.

Anyway, try and keep this topic nice and on topic

Yup I think the more places you get your name and ad and link out there the more people are likely to find it. Especially in the beginning, a forum will benefit much from this "long tail" approach to marketing themselves. That sort of thing works much better online in general. The effect is really cumulative.
