Basically the other day when I was in, Modern Studies at school we were discussing the Ultimate Question! It interested me quite alot and I am one of those ones that aren't interested in any religious stuff but this caught my eye! 🙂

Basically The Ultimate Question is a question that cannot be answered until it is solved and that is very rarely! Some may know some Ultimate Question's already but we will keep them for later!
Apparantley there are more than five hundred ultimate question still looking for an answer too them according to my R.E teacher and me and my class mates were trying to get ten ultimate questions each and most of us came up with the simple ones like 'Why is God not stopping animal/human cruelty' etc.. But my R.E teacher pointed out that if we where to spend atleast ten years studying the Ultimate Question we would have got a possible answer and it has made me think if anyone has done this yet, I am thinking of doing it but I think my friends will take the mickey out of me and I would never have the patience to do it.

So guys do any of you have any good Ultimate Questions that are still un-answered

Thanks, (I know it's not much off a debate but it let's members think for a minute or to).

I wouldn't associate the Ultimate Question/s with religion. The way I see it, religions are just made-up answers to the Ultimate Question/s and pretending they're the truth.

Here is an Ultimate Question though. As to whether or not it's answered, it probably is. All of the great questions probably are answered already. Most people have probably never heard them.

Anyways, here it is.

Is the physical realm we live in absolute reality, or just a production that another realm, which is real, allows to exist?

Thought, perhaps? Thought is real, but it is not physical. I guess some would argue against that, saying thought is nothing more than biochemical reactions in the brain, but I don't think so. Perhaps thought is that "other realm" that is real which is what gives form to this world. That's what I think anyways. And how does creation and destruction tie into this? Laws of physics tell us that nothing can be created or destroyed, that everything that exists has always existed in some form, and therefore there is no beginning or end - but eternity or nothing at all.

Interesting topic. Seems that one Ultimate Question lead to more Ultimate Questions.

How can you prove that everything around you is not a computer simulation/dream?

Yeah, maybe your a computer game character and don't even know it.... By the way.... this game SUCKS!!!! After all your brain is nothing but a bio-processor. Are you even real? I'm I just a figment of my own imagination? Oh great ....now I'm all screwed up now...lol

I don't think it sucks. It gets old and boring every now and then, but it doesn't suck. If such a theory is true, that is not to say that we aren't real. The forms we have in the "game" may not be real, but we are. Also, whether or not the theory is true, our brain is a bio-processor. It's a sophisticated bio-processor, but one nevertheless. I would think any scientist will tell you that. Are we bio-processors, though? I don't think so.

Just think of how intelligent the "being" that designed and created us is!!! There is no way we "happened" by accident. We were created by a magnificent being... or beings. He did say "Let US create man in OUR image"..... of course this opens a whole new discussion and gets way off topic.

I've got another one.

If you leave your refrigerator open, does it get hotter or colder?

I don't quite agree with creation. I don't agree with the idea that we're accidents either. As for creation, certain aspects of physics tell us that, fundamentally, linear time does not exist. Linear time only exists in the world of dense matter, since time is measured by the movement of massive bodies such as the sun, planets, and moon; and those things are made of dense matter. The word "created" is past tense, and implies linear time. Therefore, creation can only happen in physical reality, and that makes sense because we can create things in the physical aspect of it and destroy them. We can construct buildings, and we can tear it down. Our bodies are created, and then they die and decay back into the dirt.

However, in the subatomic realm, where there is no time (as we know it), this is not the case. Even though a building can be torn down, and our bodies can die, the masses of subatomic particles that made up those things in the world of dense matter still exist; they're just in different form. To say that we were created is to say that we are nothing more than our finite bodies, for everything that is created either never existed or will at some point cease to exist/be destroyed. I favor the idea that we are not created; we have always existed as an element in the subatomic world (eternal). Therefore, when we our finite forms die and decay, that subatomic aspect of ourselves (our soul), must live on.

As far as I'm concerned, that aspect of science proves we have a soul. No time = no creation/destruction = everything we know to be real such as consciousness and thought ("I think, therefore I am.") will always be real regardless of what happens in dense matter.

I'm not suggesting there is no God or that there is no intelligence in the universe, but the opposite. We are all God and it is impossible to fully understand God.

How can we? May this be a Matrix type scenario? May I be a grown adult in a coma that has a dream about his childhood, may we just all be dreams?

Just think:

If someone did create us in a computer simulation, would you think that that person would be dumb enough for us to realize it? No.

Here's my question. It's short, but it expresses great meaning.

What is the meaning of life?

Do we all have a specific destiny, or are we just "out there" by chance.

In my opinion 'The Meaning Of Life' shall always be whatever you want it to be, as long as it doesn't have a massive detrimental effect on someone elses life. I like to believe in the theory of parallel worlds, it just to me, seems to make so much sense that whenever we dream it's us drifting into these other worlds where we did completely different decisions giving us a whole different life.

One thing that I will never get my head around is to think that, something as little as leaving the house 5 minutes later can completely change what happens in our lifes.

Does it really change was going to happen? What if what is going to happen is waiting for you to leave the house to happen anyway? lol figure that one out huh..
