The worst free forum hosts.

All free hosts are crap whether or not they specialise in forums. 000webhost screwed up a lot then they kept asking if I wanted to upgrade to their paid service! I told 'em where to go pretty quickly.

Tell me about them, im sure every webmaster uses them once in their life! They suck...

Yeah.

IMO, you should use free hosts to test an idea and see how much popularity you can build up, then if you start getting decently well known, move over to a proper host.

Now that I have a paid hosting service, though, I just stick all my sites on the same paid hosting account and see how many end up working well. As of yet, I've only seen fit to keep one running.

or just get free hosting right away? That makes me NOT want to join someone and or your website. 'Startup an idea, and if it fails' than just delete it? Not encouraging at all for me to join

id reccomend starting on free hosting not a free forum host,
you can find good free hosting thats ad free and has fantastico installed and install phpbb or smf within a click and styles are easy-peesy to install and even the inexpirianced would be able to do it in less than 5 min.

No use keeping it running if no one's using it. I won't just suddenly close something people use though; I'd have no reason to.

It's baaaaaaaad. It requires you to pay for typical things that would be free on almost every other software, like custom emoticons and sticky threads. Also, since switching to Yuku, they now stick ads EVERYWHERE! (Beside topics, underneath topics, all over the index pages).

Never go with a free forum host. They suck. 2quid a month can buy you a domain and unlimited webspace and traffic and phpbb is simple to install

Aside from Yuku, either ProBoards or FreeForums is worst. Behind them would be ForuMotion.

ProBoards is way better than FreeForums or ForuMotion.
When was the last time you used ProBoards?

They have improved immensely over the years.

Not always true. There are many people with genuinely good ideas, but don't have funds to continue. People are not always too lazy, or too scared, which are really presumptuous.

Exactly, you dont always have to have everything paid for it to work out... and like I said zetaboards is one of the best for freeforum hosting.
