The Hazey is pleased to announce the arrival of the "Super 14 Contest". The Super 14 Contest is a 14 day posting contest, with the winner getting $20. The contest starts on Monday 30th August and will run for 14 days. Basically the person with the most posts in those 14 days will win the top prize, we have a second prize of $10 and a 3rd prize of $5.

August has been a pretty eventful month for the site, we have expanded our forums to include a MyBB section on the forum and areas in our database, to read the announcement click here. We created a new staff group called the Writers to take over writing blogs and articles for our database, the team is lead by John1. Their other responsibilities include the newsletter and helping with guidelines etc, since the staff group was formed our blog and database has grown very fast. We brought in 2 new contests: the Site of the Month and Graphics of the Month;
The site of the month winner was the Infinity Programme and the winning site can now be viewed on our main pages and in the gallery, Green Cow capped off a wonderful first month here by winning the Gfx Contest, the Sports Battle and also was voted staff member of the month for august.
We also disbanded our less than popular Hire a Member service in place of a posting service, to read the news click here
September promises to be a big month for the site. Our posting contest runs for the first two weeks of the month with $20 going to our winner. Also September should see the arrival of the "Something Big Feature" which has got everyone talking, there is no set launch date yet, so stay tuned.

Well would you believe it, just 27 days after we hit 30,000 posts, we have hit yet another major post milestone. at 17:00pm we hit 40,000 posts, myself and Rich really are overwhelmed how well this site is doing.
We are still a very young site and are only 140 days old and to hit that many posts in such a short space of time is remarkable and way beyond anything we could have imagined. We are not doing anything big for this milestone but we do have a few things planned for when we hit the 50k mark.
Once again I would like to thank everyone who has joined and contributed to this site.

Over the past week I have been working on loads of updates and features for the site and for you the members. First off we have added 4 new mods to the site:
Prefix Mod:We have swapped the prefix mod we have with a better one, designed my imkingdavid.
Deviantart Mod - You will have seen myself and some designers with this little icon
in the view topic, this links your profile to your deviantart account, this can be done via your UCP.
Twitter Mod - You can now link your profile to your twitter account, this can be doing via your UCP and this icon
will appear in the view topic.
The biggest mod is what most members have been wanting, a reputation system. I have installed the following rep mod:
Karma Mod - You can now award members positive karma if they have done something for you, exchange, helped you etc. Also now if you break a rule you maybe given negative karma by a staff member. Please read the following rule regarding the karma mod
As well as the mods above we now have a brand new service layout, this has been achieved by using this snippet done my Kenny at 6 string mods but it has been heavily altered the layout is custom and special thanks goes to imkingkenny, Erik Frèrejean and most of all Noxwizard for helping with the tweaks I needed to get the right layout.
Along with this all services have had their guidelines and prices updated, as we offer paid services in each service we have gone for a standard conversion of 25.00TH to $1.00 USD, so all prices have been changed to match this. Also the packages in the posting service have been tweaked. Plus we have changed the deals in both the affiliate and advertisment service.
Finaly the mod service has now been split into two services, phpBB service and myBB service. The phpBB service we now offer mod installs still but at one set price, style installation and software upgrades, we plan in the future to offer custom phpBB styles and board conversions. The MyBB service we offer the same, plugin and theme installation and software updates.
