Youtube and facebook are really pissing me off.

It started off when facebook and youtube were forcing new layouts on us. Then facebook goes and makes it show top stories instead of most recent stories. I want the new ones. You have to manually set it to most recent and then next time you log in it will be set back to top stories. I want to see the most recent posts. Youtube kept changing their style a lot during 2011 and I hate the new style. Then Youtube invents a new channel layout. I didn't like it but luckily they gave you the option to stay with the old channel layout. I was so happy that they didn't force it on us. Then a month later it shows a notice that everyone will be converted to the new channel design in a few weeks and I was like

Then the tragic day came, they forced the new channels on it. Many people were upset just like me. Even some popular youtubers like Richalvarez were pissed because they wanted the old channel layout. Another thing I forgot to mention was how youtube added the advertisements to videos. I was so mad about that. I just wanna watch the damn video. Its not like its tv or something we don't need no ads. At least there was a skip button but some ads didn't even have the skip button. And now sometimes the ad asks if you want to watch an advertisement or complete an offer. Screw you I'm not completing so offer that's gonna ask for my personal information and lies about the free gift card to walmart. Then facebook goes and invents the timeline! I know most people liked it but I didn't. It scatters your posts al over the place and it makes it harder to find posts other people make on your timeline. It makes it harder to find your facebook photos/videos. Luckily, facebook let people keep their wall if they wanted it. I was really happy about this. It sucked to see most of my friends switching to timelines though. For a really long time I was never bothered about my wall. I kept it without a problem while more and more people kept switching to the timeline thing. Then one day out of the blue without no freaking warning, I log on to facebook and it says to me, "You now have a timeline" So once again I was like,

How the hell could facebook just randomly do that to me. I don't want this freaking timeline crap. Facebook can suck my Pikachu. I don't even want to use it anymore. Then now... oh my god. Google has made a huge mistake with youtube! A HUGE mistake!!! I get a popup from google while watching a youtube video. They asked if I wanted to use my full name as my youtube channel name! What the hell is wrong with them. People like their usernames. I don't think a lot of people are going to put their full name out their for the world to see. Shutup youtube. Watch them force our full names onto our youtube channels eventually. I will close my account if that happens.

Nobody I just wanted to use them before but now they have ruined themselves for me.

So who forced you to use Facebook and Youtube ?
In fairness, YouTube pretty much is the only site of its type that anybody uses.

I agree, I don't like it when websites change. If I could I would switch back to about the 2009/2010 layout on Facebook and YouTube. At least it is not as constant anymore.

Lol it looks like you can disable your timeline, just did it. Facebook should have said that when it said "you now have a timeline!"

I mainly use social networks as sources of free traffic for my blogs, forums, and websites, and to keep up with news, and family photos and videos.

I don't like the new Twitter with the sidebar on the left instead of the content on the right.

The new YouTube layout is okay, but the subscription homepage uses too much space. I miss the old subscription homepage where it has 4 thumbnail images of videos I want to watch from a specific channel on each page.

The Facebook layout is okay, but timeline is kind of more confusing then the old wall style which is similar to a blog style.

I don't see why this is a discussion point. You agree to FB and YT ToS when you use those services, you need to follow their rules. No one has forced those services upon you, it was your own choice and free will to sign up. A lot of what you said was a personal prerogative. Not everything in life will be to your satisfaction. Thinking otherwise is naive and stupid.

^(post above me) There's always got to be those people that say stuff like that 😛 and don't see the point in the topic and think the topic creator was dumb.

Just saying how I miss the way they used to be, don't worry.

Your words, not mine.

Sure, you're talking about how it pisses you off. There are far more important things in life than the layout of a website which you use at your own free will. You're saying things like "tragic", "mistake", "pissing me off", "shutup Youtube" and so on. This is a bit more than saying you miss the previous formats.

All I'm saying is that you could have explained yourself more effectively and seriously. These personal rants are never taken seriously, hence your response or rather lack of response.

On a side note, the current FB has a good difference, whilst I'd rather the former YT format.

You can disable the timeline still? Mine gave me about a weeks notice and then switched automatically on the 27th to the timeline. I really prefer the previous one for my personal account, but the timeline is nice for a Facebook Page.
