How to make a theme edit appear upon making changes?
The files are in the database.

No, i mean when i edit the theme file and clear the cache, nothing happens.

Are you editing the theme through the ACP, or are you editing the files directly and uploading them via FTP?

If you are editing them through the ACP, you do not have to clear the cache. If you do, it will revert back to the files on your server. Edit the files directly and replace them instead.

Are you editing the themes HTML or the CSS?

Also, try purging the boards cache:

Under the General tab, there will be a button on the right side of the page that says Purge Cache. Click that, refresh your board and see if the changes take effect.

I'm editing the CSS, and i'm always pressing Purge the cache, however the file edit seems to be the same.

Yes, i have done that.

Check theme files on your server again, I've noticed that sometimes the files get overwritten and the edits removed when I clear the theme cache. 😱

1. Make sure you are editing the correct theme.
2. When you finish editing, click save and immediately go purge all caches,
3. Go to tools and maintenance and optimize the database.
4. Try it now.

It's a phpBB theme, not MyBB's

So did you get it working?

And what do you mean by "edit" here? Are you trying to use a new style altogether? Or you are editng existing theme to suit your taste?

I'm just editing the background's colour, but it's sorted out now.
