Thinking about XenForo

Lately I have been thinking about buying an xenforo license. I have vbulletin, Ipb, so why not xenforo? I have noticed many people are now using it. What are your opinions?

I love Xenforo. I just won a license off another forum. I have already made my first custom theme which is pretty decent. If you're thinking about getting it. Don't think, just get it! It will be the best thing you do in your entire life. 🙂

I mean, $140 is a good bit of money for something I barely even know about. I haven't really used it much to be honest and I would have to save my money to be able to just spend it on something like that, as I have many other bills as well.

And benefits/disadvantages?

As an end-user I much prefer XenForo over Vbulletin and a bit over IPB too. It's really quickly become my favorite forum script.

Yeah, I have noticed it's very fast.

XF is a great forum software. The Admin CP is easy to learn,the user side of things is great,and there are several mod and theme makers already.

I know one thing, the word has spread like a viral virus though. 😛 I shall ponder on this some more.

I too even favor Xenforo over IPB or Vbulletin. Now it looks like it's a lot easier to use and the layout is pretty good. I haven't done any thorough research on it yet, but from what I've been able to find it looks pretty darn good.

I am convinced Sakura fell in love with Xenforo. I tried the demo but now I lost the demo url. LOL! What a bummer...

Im in love with XenForo, when i first heard of it i was like Meh. another forum script. But then when i got it running on a live forum i saw how brilliant it was and threw my vb in the bin lol i have no regrets over forking out the money for a license, it is the best forum software i have ever used and i have licenses for ipb and vbulletin too 🙂

Go for it chris, I remember when I bought my license last year when xenforo was just at Beta 3, everyone was criticizing me for using Beta software on a live forum.. didnt I prove them wrong? people barely even knew about it back then, and now you will see so many forums here on FP using it. Its a great piece of software, and all of my members are very happy with it.

I been thinking about buying it also. But hate to spend the cash for it unless I can put it to good use. Maybe one day!
