Well either. But i want something that is recommended. People keep telling me to move away from freeforums.

It is well worth the work, I felt like an idiot when spending many long lonely nights posting things and making my forum pretty when there was no one there, but it has paid off, forums are very hard work but very rewarding, it does get disheartening at times but join other forums too, make friends, and this place is excellent for support, please don't give up just yet, see how you feel in a month.

Do you know HOW MANY times i have been criticized, for being on ProBoards? I took so many cheap shops, new members saying they hated the software; and guests from promotion forums saying it'll never work unless i get on a better software.

But .... it's me; and i LOVE the challenge.

It's not your softtware, far from it. It's what you got, and how you use; but, everything depends on you ... and how far you're willing to go to get it successful.

the main thing, that makes most admins give up; is they compare their forum, to forum's like theirs, that are successful; and it really depresses them. That forum started slow, and struggled too.

Don't think it became an over night success , either. It takes devotion, determination, and ALOT of sacfrifice.

I'd recommend using vB or IPB as these are both superior to phpBB3 but again IPB and vB cost upwards of 150 dollars for the license.

I would suggest, for hosting use www.hostgator.com

They are the cheapest out there.. and you can get a domain from GoDaddy.com like in the racing advertisements 😀 They have deals a lot that can give you a .com domain for 7 bucks.. I've been a long time GoDaddy customer and they mail me 10%/20% off domain cost codes a lot so if I get another one I'll be happy to send the number of them to you.

Here some suggestions. If you have the money get VB or IPB like Irviding said. If not use phpBB and host your forum on Blue Host. If you don't want do paid host they I recommend you use ProPhpbb. They woun't let you don all the freeforum.org would and don't lot mods but they have lot of thing freeforum.org doesn't have like only guest can the advertisement. Also a domain.

I have thought about deleting my forum so many times, but never the guts to do it. Now its better than ever.. Never give up man!

Ok so i did a revamp after going through and taking some tips from hcfwesker and his great review. I will see how it goes.
