I have been thinking of setting up a Battlefield (the game) forum.
I have a couple of good domain names for it, although I'm wondering how much potential it has. There is an EA official forum, but I feel the official forums have less of a community feel to them. There aren't a lot of Battlefield forums, there are some specific to certain Battlefield games but not the franchise in general.

Let me know what you think. If I did set it up, I would be looking for staff so if you would be interested, please PM me or Skype me (jamiedabrowiecki).

What do you have to bring to the table that every other gaming forum, or battlefield-specific forum, hasn't already done?

That's the question you really have to ask yourself

I have asked myself that.
I wouldn't put it in the same category as regular gaming forums as you get more 'dedicated' Battlefield fans at a BF niche forum, but to be honest there aren't masses of Battlefield forums about. And a couple that I saw have been pretty neglected.

While it can work, not sure how big the niche space is. If you think you can pull it off and market it well, I encourage you to pursue it!

If you have a good domain and give it a good look then you could definitely get it rolling as long as there aren't a bunch of other Battlefield forums. I agree though, most of the time the official forums for games don't really have a good community feel... it's pretty much just complaints and support threads. Best of luck! 🙂

There are many Battlefield forums already around. Do some research about your competition and find out what they're not already covering and then specialize in that niche. That's not saying you can't have generic Battlefield game discussions, but keep them to specific subforums and mostly focus on your unique angle for the forum and that should draw more members who get things from your forum, they can't get from others.
