I was caught off guard by this. Dating is hit and miss at times, nothing to get mad or vindictive about. This guy sued his date for 17 dollars and 31 cents because she rejected him and left him at the movies.

There is no question as to why both of those people are single. They're both in the wrong.

She should have told him she was going to leave and she should have reimbursed him.

As for him, it seems he must have said something to her about her texting that came across as rude or obnoxious so no wonder she wanted to leave. Is it rude to use the phone during a movie? Yes. But I get the feeling he was not kind about his opinion concerning it and she got uncomfortable and left.

Lesson learned for both of them? Maybe he should insist on going Dutch for his next date with someone else?

Guess there is no second date for them? Lol.

But she owes him nothing, he offered to pay and that's that.

Exactly. Agreed.

Still no excuse to leave him high and dry.

Nono. Its not about the rejection. Its about intent. She left HIM high and dry on a date. She left him with money that he feels he wasted. That's WRONG.

Have the common decency to say "I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in this date anymore."

You don't have to defend women when they do wrong. It's all what these SJW's on Twitter do. Don't be like them.

They both did wrong, no doubt about that, but this guy has no grounds to sue and just being petty.

I've found the outcome, looks like the attention made her pay him back without going to court.

So what about money isn't it. Crazy will crazy crazy world

Having watched the video and assuming the reason given for texting is genuine, I'm going to side with the young lady (is that even an appropriate term in the modern age? I really don't know anymore).

Anyway texting a friend to confirm she is safe on a first date is common sense 101. It's not entirely clear what happened after that but for him to issue a law suit? Seriously?
