This Happen Often?

I use BlueHost as my hosting service, and today when I got home from school and tried to get on, the server wasnt working right. I couldnt even login to my cPanel account. I did the support ticket thing, and in doing that I learned their very fast with customer service, but the report was as follows;

"Unfortunately, your server is still under a DDOS attack and will move extremely slowly (if at all). As soon as the attack discontinues or is otherwise resolved, the server will function normally again.

DDOS attacks can last anywhere from hours to days.

After checking, your data is safe. Just currently inaccessible."

So to all the others who use BlueHost for hosting, how often do these attacks happen, or is it just one hacker going after one site that just so happens to have an account on the same server as mine?

All servers have DDoS problems from time to time... Sometimes they can be quite weak and not cause any or much noticeable problems or get blocked quickly although sometimes it can cause the site to be completely offline for a while until it stops or your host can sort it out.

Around 10:30PM my time alst night the attack stopped and BlueHost had fixed any damaged that had been done (if any). Im just glad it only lasted a day.

Sometime it can last longer and some time shorter.... Either way glad it is sorted now -D-
