Yeah, I've once again been browsing Imgur's most viral pictures of today, and I came across this giant thing. At first I thought it was something like a cross between a Lion and a Bear and then I read up on what a Leonberger was and it's simply a giant dog breed, apparently the Germans made it by crossing a female Landseer Newfoundland with a "barry" male. I just cannot beleive the size of this thing, you wouldn't want your dog to challenge this beast. It apparently means "Gentle Lion".

I Googled the breed, it says it's fearless...you don't say?
 
And he'd be good protection if someone broke into your house. 😉
 
Probably wouldn't be great protection, he looks too loving 😛 But I'm sure it would scare the person away just by his size. Especially if he came running at them lol.
 
I think that if you were in danger that beast would destroy the threat. :lol:

Looks perfectly dog like to me. Not sure exactly what the big deal is.
