The clowns are in my hometown, and even worse that the high school I just graduated which my cousin attends now. They are having a lockdown tomorrow is now becoming pathetic. I might miss class in college if there is a clown with a knife or gun waiting at a bus stop. This joke is disrupting our way of life. The meme is for a quick humor, but this dilemma is seriously getting out of hand...

I agree with @Jordan. Although, I will say that I live in a really small town, so we haven't had any issue with this; however, I don't really think it's a big deal. It's just a few moron's idea of having fun. They'll go away sooner or later. They're happy with the attention.

In my point of view, I would not care if people dressed up as clowns for attention and laughter, but having dangerous weapons on public sight? Like There intention is not to harm anyone, yet that could happen if a clown loses their sanity and commit inhumane actions.

Why clowns? Why not some creepy looking Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees? Anyway? Seriously.

I agree, but the concern is more with people dressing as clown holding real weapons. Who knows all the Halloween characters are going to follow the clown dilemma. Thanks for bring up a reminder. 🙂

I think these clowns are foolish because they are just putting themselves in harms way. The general public can get violent when they feel threatened.

We had one with a gun. =P Usually I don't care but when they start bringing out weapons into the mix, then, well, I have an issue.
This is also Nevada though and the majority of people carry firearms with them, so it's really only a matter of time before the tables turn.

Yes the clowns are not really the issue, but them with weapons is the major issue.

They haven't been in my town as far as I've heard, but yes the clowning is pretty ridiculous.

Killer clowns which aren't actually killers.

Literally the most stupid thing I've ever seen happen. Not too sure why people are so freaked out and scared to be seen outside? I could be walking down the street as a normal person and shove a knife into your stomach without you even knowing I was dangerous. Just see these "Clowns" as a stop sign. You see a clown? You just run away. Look at the millions of fake clown videos online, none of them are harmful and none of them chase you very far. Especially with so many being in America, why are people scared of a clown with a knife when it's full of gangsters and other criminals with easy access to guns? Surely clowns are just minor. There's hardly any actual reports of clowns killing people, and the ones which are, would be killing without that clown costume anyway.

Even worse, is that people are now scared for their life on Halloween. Because, you know, I couldn't be dressed up as a massive Pumpkin and have 12 knifes, and 3 guns hidden inside my costume while you can see a clown with a weapon a mile off.

Been a few clown sighting around where I live, but it's basically got to the point where clowns don't have the scaryness when it first started, seeming it's just a bunch of kids now. Just start running at the clowns and the pansies will start running away from you anyway. :L

You just gotta love the internet for starting trends like this.

Police departments from Detroit to Miami to Dartmouth, Massachusetts, have issued public service announcement's warning pranksters that disturbing the peace and trespassing is no laughing matter.

Police in Union County, North Carolina, said they arrested a 20-year-old last week after he frightened customers at a local gas station by dressing as a clown and carrying a hatchet.

Meanwhile, three teenagers dressed as clowns were arrested outside of a Babies "R" Us in Albuquerque, New Mexico, earlier this month after police said they carried an air rifle.

Some of the reports to police, however, have also turned out to be hoaxes.
