Hey all, I wanted some thoughts on a referral competition i'm planning.
I run a Gaming (console gaming) site. As many of us will know these are very hard to recruit with because there are so many of them. Anyway, I was thinking of doing a referral competition on the site for maybe a month. I was thinking the prize would be a game of the winners choosing. So it could be Xbox, PS3, WII, PC whatever. And when I say game of their choice, we don't give them a selection to chose from, it is any game in existence.
Now, the question is, and i'll split everyone in to 2 categories.
Gamers - those of you that are gamers, if there was a referral competition running and the prize was a game of your choice, would this be something you would be interested in. I'm not asking if you would want to get involved in my competition (although everyone is welcome 😉), i'm just asking in general.
Non-Gamers - if this referral competition hadn't been gaming related and was anything else, i.e. something you are interested in, then would you also be interested?
I know some sites do cash competitions, but I was trying to think of something different. What are your thoughts? I mean it could be an opportunity for someone to get a brand new game that's just been released.
