Thread Date & Time not showing

What's the correct code to display Thread date and time? On my current theme, it seems to be missing and I know exactly where I need/want to put it, I just need the correct code or process to make it appear.

I'm using: {$post['postdate']} and {$post['posttime']}, not sure what seems to be wrong.
