Tikolah down?

I already ordered paid hosting form Empire Hostings, looks good. Anyways, I was able to find a backup on my PC, so its cool now.

I can suggest that you come to Pluto Hosting. We have fast speeds as well as amazing support. I can say that as staff and as a client of their hosting. My website hosted with them is www.justgfx.com

Best to use a real hosting company with an established reputation & has been up for longer than a year.

You shouldnt trust your site with some kid with a reseller account pretending to be a real host....Not saying that "Tikolah" is that because I don't know anything about them.

ATTENTION TO ALL TIKOLAH USERS

My name is Patrick V. I' m a former Tikolah Senior Support Staff Member who was fired by the new Administration. I am going to let you know what has happened to Tikolah. Since Clayton was going to shutdown Tikolah because he was unable to pay for the server any more, Tyler has taken over the role for paying the server. On Monday 1st August I've notice that Tikolah was down. I run every network test that i know of and told Tyler about the issue and his replies are like what he normally he say around the forum if you guys know what I mean. He told me all sorts of lies in fact that the server was shutdown and canceled was kept quite. What really came down to it was a money issue and the large amount of spam on the forums. I am really sorry for those who don't have backup which I am in the same boat myself. I wish you all the best.

Regards

Wouldn't you say that all hosts are started like this? Without clients they'd go out of business. You have to give all hosts a chance, it's just a matter of which one looks more promising.

Tikolah was struggling from the start. It was giving out free accounts, and mentioning their costs. When a host mentions their running costs are high, that's an alarm.

But still, they were in business for a pretty long time.

I'm not interested in giving new hosting "companies" a chance to be honest. I go where I can feel secure. People using hosts like the ones I described are taking a bigger risk. Even on a secure host, I still make regular backups & have a copy of everything on my hosting account, on my computer as well.

Not very long. I know that Clayton another host run on a forum. Soon that was closed. And this was less than a year ago. So tikolah started pretty recently, and we do know what happened to the other host. It never took off to my knowledge.
