Time to Close?

As most of you know, Marie 1988 has been running strong since January 2013. However, I am seriously considering closing the forum and just being a member of forums again. At least till I can get my own laptop. My time is very limited right now, I've been battling health issues, and being without my own computer has complicated things as well. I have had almost no interest in coming online lately, and the result is practically looking at a dead forum. I have no interest in holding a contest at all, as I never really liked the idea of forum contests, and I'm just beginning to lose interest all together. This is a decision that I am NOT taking lightly. I've been battling way too many health issues lately, and I'm just losing interest in the forum in general. My only other option is to sell up for FP and at least stay on the forum as a regular member. I do not desire a retired owner rank if we do go that route, though. My interest in forum ownership is seriously waning and I just need opinions before I officially decide to do something. Thanks for any and all input. I would like responses by Thursday, as that is my next day off from work, or by Saturday. Thursday preferably, though. Whatever happens I will carry out any and all plans then.

Have you considered continuing to own the forum to make sure nothing happens to the forum you don't desire but hiring someone to run the forum, as a reward they'd get the revenue. So then you can still control to the forum if you so wish but someone else runs it and reaps the benefits? 🙂

We're on free hosting, so I'm not generating any type of revenue, so I'm really not worried about that at this time.

That's not what I meant really. I meant you keep ownership so no huge unwanted changes are made, you hire someone who would like to run the forum, they can monetize the forums and they get the money but you still have control. 🙂

I'll probably end up just closing the forum, I think. I honestly have no interest anymore... been having too many health issues and too much crap going on in general. In fact this topic can be locked.

There's plenty of forums out there to participate in. You don't have to run your own forum to be involved in the forum community. Think about your needs and if not having a forum will make you feel a little less stressed, then close it. If its something you want to commit to and it makes you happy, keep it open.
