I've been thinking of this long and hard today, I think it's time to quit my sites. I just don't have the time anymore to run a news blog and 2 forums, I'm in my final few months of college and I need to focus on getting a full time job for when I leave. I have come to the conclusion that I'm going to sell my 2 sites, I want to see them used to their full potential. I'll still stay active and on the staff team here though 🙂

Goodbye. I agree with what you are doing. Collage and school for me currently is one of the most important times of anyone's life and that is more important than a forum.

Yes i need to give AdminTalk up temporarily due to school and then i need to get a full time job (Hopefully in the IT industry)

I support what you're doing. Always put education ahead of online stuff. Running a blog and 2 sites will not get you an A in your classes. One day if you run into debt and you lose your house one thing they can't take away from you is your education. 😛

I'm sorry to hear that, but I agree with your decision that it is best to focus on your education as it is in the important stage now. You can perhaps put the sites inactive temporarily until you sort things out. Still, the decision is yours so I wish you all the best.

:cheer:

Running more than one project at once can be overwhelming. Stick to one and get some good staff so you can not be there and not stress when you need to not be there. 😛

I was having a think, and I just couldn't let go of LevelUnlocked, it may not be big but I take huge pride in saying it's mine. I will be selling Blog Promotion as I don't have the time to take it to it's full potential but I couldn't part with LU.

I've got quite emotionally attached to Geeks Hut too, blogs seem to be quite personal so you get to like it more.

good decision. good luck with college.

i have also though of quitting and concentrate more to my forex trading... but still i monitor my forum from time to time.

School should always come first. But that doesn't mean you can't keep them going and visit them from time to time. Then when you have time again, you can keep adding new content to them. If fact the longer your websites are online and available to Google, the better. Way better than bringing them offline(if it comes to it) and then trying to bring them back months later. Google will not like that. Promise you.

Its understandable that you would have to leave. But if you really don't want to leave your site, perhaps you can find someone to fill in the void, so that you can come back to it when you're ready.

Good luck with everything and sometimes it's just time to move on.
Are you going to sell your sites or just close them down?

Well I'm keeping LU as it's my pride and joy, and I'm going to try and get lots more staff to ease the load for me and the co-admin (ZINC).

I will be selling Blog Promotion, running a promotion forum is a lot of work and I just don't have the time.

Well, Flux...

I wish you luck with your education. I hope LU goes well, too. 🙂

You made a good choice, man.

I understand, the great thing about the internet is if and when you find some free time again, you can always start another site up, hopefully better then any you're running now :great:

How big is blog promotion? You should try to merge it with another admin forum so the content doesn't go to waste. :great:
