Timezone Converter BBCode

Hey all!

I'm looking for a BBCode for phpBB that will allow you to convert times from one timezone to another. I've been playing around with a couple ways to try to get it done, but I haven't gotten very far.

It's for a good cause, trust me. Thank you! 🙂

What exactly do you want the BBcode to do?

Like [BBcode]7:00 GMT[/BBcode] --> your own timezone?

I think this will be hard since people might write it differently, like 7:00 (GMT) or 7:00 GMT or 7:00 Greenwich Mean Time.

Maybe:

I was thinking of something like a little interactive box. If I recall, you can use HTML and JS in BBCode, so I wouldn't imagine that it would be impossible. Anyway:

At the top there would be a box where you can input the time and select the stated time zone. At the bottom, you would select your timezone, and you would select submit. After that, it would output the converted time, without having to even leave the page you were on. 🙂

i like this idea cause then everything can be in gmt time and then we all convert to our own timezone so theres less confusing when you plan events etc.
