Tips for a Style?

Ok so the style I have on my forums just now I received a few complaints about some of the colors not matching/blending well, and also other various things around the forums. The navbar for me is also a little harder to add a link to because of the way the coder coded the templates.

So now I am thinking of a new style. I will be designing it, and was wondering what everyone thinks goes well for vBulletin. I can add just about anything to the design, like now we have an affiliate box which isn't a MOD and doesn't come with vBulletin.

So what would people like to see? I am open to all suggestions.

I love your current style, and it fits well with the word press theme too.

I don't mind it myself, but I want one the members will enjoy. The new design will be implemented with WordPress aswell, so it will still look integrated.

Well then my suggestion would be to make it simple, easy to navigate while looking good, those are the forum styles I look out for 🙂

Do you prefer the light or dark colors? For the background and forum display.

Personally as user preference I rather a light background.

I have started a new design. I will post a screenshot of it either tonight or tomorrow afternoon sometime.

I might make 2 versions and see what people like better.

I like the style you have, you might keep that as an option, after you add the new style. One suggestion I would make on it, is that you make the background colour of the post area a little lighter. A lighter colour would make post text easier to read.

Yeah, the only reason I haven't allowed users to choose a style is because the only other one we have is the default one.

Once I install our new one, the current one will still be available to choose.
